Frequently Asked Questions
Who do you work with, and what ages are appropriate for training?
I work with athletes of all ages, beginning as early as third grade. The earlier an athlete is introduced to mental performance training, the more advantageous it is for their growth. Mental training and techniques eventually become integrated into an athlete's cognitive process and overall well-being, giving them a competitive edge. Whether you’re in elementary school or an adult athlete, Mental Mastery Performance (MMP) is here to support your journey.
What does working with you look like?
My role is similar to that of any other supportive coach, with the key difference being that I focus on mental performance and the complexities of the mind. My priority is to build a strong, trusting, and enjoyable relationship with my athletes, as this foundation allows us to explore countless opportunities for personal and athletic growth. Communication is essential, and I encourage open dialogue beyond our sessions—I want to hear about practices, competitions, challenges, and triumphs. When you work with me, you gain a coach who is committed to your success and will always believe in your potential, even if you're not yet confident in yourself.
What is your recommended approach for training?
Taking the first step is the most important part, and I’m proud of every athlete who takes that leap. I typically recommend that athletes schedule sessions on a weekly or biweekly basis, depending on whether they’re in or out of season. Consistency is key—it allows us to evaluate progress, adapt strategies, address any new challenges, and refine mental techniques in a fun, engaging way. Through consistency, openness, and adaptability, we can elevate your mental game.
How do I schedule a session for myself or my child?
There are two ways to schedule:
You can reach out directly by submitting a contact form through the website or through other communication channels.
Alternatively, you can book a session directly through the link provided in the "Pricing" section, where you'll be able to view availability and select the best time for your schedule.
Do you accept insurance?
Currently, my services are not covered by insurance. However, if you have a Health Savings Account (HSA), you can pay directly using the account, and I will provide a receipt for submission to your insurance provider.
Do you work with teams, schools, or organizations?
Yes, I work with a variety of teams, schools, and organizations, including club teams, high schools, and colleges. Coaches often reach out to schedule group sessions, typically 2-3 times per season. I collaborate with the coach to understand the dynamics of the team and address any specific challenges that may affect performance. From there, I tailor group sessions around relevant topics and check in with both coaches and athletes throughout the season. I also make it a priority to attend practices, games, and events to build rapport with the team. Additionally, athletes who are interested in strengthening their mental game can schedule individual sessions.
